My first reaction was negative. Like "why would you spend taxpayer money on people the taxpayers just voted out?" But then I chalked it up more to cultural differences - y'all do have a more comprehensive welfare state then I'm accustomed to.
Sounds good. Malibu is on the shore, about a 30 minute drive from Beverly Hills, northwest of Santa Monica (and its pier). The beaches and hills are pretty, so worth checking out even if a reservation could not be made with the Getty Villa.
